People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum: Details have surfaced following the meeting between the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum. This meeting took place in Abuja, where the PDP governors paid a courtesy visit to the former governor in the wake of the political crisis that erupted in Rivers State on Sunday night.
During the meeting, Wike reassured the governors of his continued affiliation with the main opposition party and expressed his presence in the FCT to support President Bola Tinubu in realizing his Renewed Hope Agenda. The PDP Governors Forum, led by Chairman Senator Bala Muhammed, extended their gratitude to Tinubu for appointing Wike as the FCT minister.
In his address, Wike commended Tinubu’s efforts to resolve the political turmoil in Rivers State, stating, “It takes mature minds to be able to do that.” The minister also firmly addressed his detractors, affirming that he would not succumb to social media propaganda or intimidation and emphasizing his commitment to upholding what is right.
