Google Opens Applications for 2025 Hustle Academy for SMBs in Nigeria, Others
Google has announced the opening of applications for the 2025 edition of its Hustle Academy programme, aimed at empowering small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) across Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa.
The initiative, which has supported numerous entrepreneurs in previous years, will place a strong emphasis on AI-powered business training in its latest edition.
Speaking on the programme’s launch, Kristy Grant, Head of B2B Marketing for Sub-Saharan Africa at Google, said: “We are thrilled to introduce the 2025 Hustle Academy, reaffirming our commitment to African entrepreneurs. This year, we are enhancing our focus on AI-driven training, equipping SMBs with the tools to leverage cutting-edge technology for business growth.”
She added that the programme would also reintroduce Hustle Academy Brings You, a segment showcasing success stories from African business leaders to inspire participants.
The free, virtual bootcamp will provide SMBs with comprehensive training on AI integration, helping them incorporate artificial intelligence into their operations, marketing, and customer engagement strategies. Additionally, participants will gain insights into essential business fundamentals, including strategy, financial management, digital marketing, and leadership development.
To qualify, businesses must have been in operation for at least a year in any of the three participating countries and demonstrate a strong ambition for expansion.
Participants will benefit from expert mentorship, practical case studies, and networking opportunities designed to enhance their entrepreneurial journey.
“By combining practical training with inspiring stories, we aim to equip SMBs with the knowledge, skills, and motivation needed to thrive in today’s competitive business landscape,” Grant concluded.
