India Parliament Attack: Chaos erupted in India’s parliament as at least two individuals breached security, shouting slogans and releasing colored gas into the chamber. The India Parliament Attack occurred on the 22nd anniversary of a deadly militant attack on the parliament. MPs and security officials were captured in images attempting to apprehend one of the intruders, who was seen moving from table to table. The motive behind the intrusion remains unclear. The Lok Sabha, the lower house of India’s parliament, suspended sessions briefly, and an investigation is underway. The preliminary inquiry suggested the sprayed smoke was “harmless,” according to Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla. Two additional individuals were detained for protesting outside parliament by activating canisters of colored gas. The breach coincided with tributes to the victims of the 2001 attack on parliament, where 14 people lost their lives. Source thedailycourierng news
