Politics 2027: Akwa Ibom Governor, Umo Eno, Says Goodbye to PDP, May Join APC Soon
Big news is coming out of Akwa Ibom State!
Governor Umo Eno has finally confirmed what many people have been whispering for a while he’s planning to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) very soon.
The governor shared this during a big town hall meeting with people from Ukanafun and Oruk Anam areas. The event was held at QIC Central School in Ikot Akpankuk, and many locals came out to hear him speak.
Governor Eno gave a simple example to explain his decision. He said, “If you’re about to fly with Ibom Airline, but the plane breaks down and can’t fly, won’t you take another flight to reach your destination?”
With that, he made it clear: PDP is no longer working for him, and he’s ready to move on possibly to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the party currently in power.
This move is not surprising. Many other politicians have also been leaving the PDP recently. In fact, the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, just left PDP too and he took many of his supporters with him.
Governor Eno said his decision is not just about politics. He believes joining the ruling party will bring more benefits and development to the people of Akwa Ibom.
