President Bola Tinubu has appointed Imam Ibrahim Kashim as the chairman of the governing board of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), with Chukwuemeka Agbasi taking up the position of FERMA’s managing director. The announcement, made by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, indicated that Imam’s appointment is for a renewable term of four years, as per the provisions of Section 2(3) of the FERMA Amendment Act, 2007.

Imam Ibrahim Kashim, a prominent figure in his own right, is known for several key attributes that have marked his professional journey. Born on December 27, 1998, he exhibits a strong academic background, having graduated with a first-class degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brighton University. Furthering his education, he pursued an MSc in Engineering Business Management from the same institution, showcasing his dedication to a well-rounded academic profile.

Notably, Imam was part of the 2022 batch of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), indicating his commitment to national service and experience in diverse fields. With his lineage also in the limelight, being the son of Mutawalli Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, the current chairman of TETFUND, he is no stranger to the intricacies and responsibilities of key positions.

Imam’s expertise in the field of engineering, coupled with his exposure to administrative roles through the NYSC, positions him as a promising figure to lead FERMA.
