Tragic loss of seven lives: The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Osun State has confirmed that an auto crash along the Osogbo/Gbongan Road resulted in the tragic loss of seven lives and left three others injured. The incident, which involved a Nissan Sharon car with registration number WWD57AE, occurred at the Ogidi village axis.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the vehicle was traveling at a high speed from Osogbo to Odeomu when he lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and fall into a ditch.
Henry Benamaisai, the Sector Commander of the FRSC in Osun State, disclosed that ten individuals were involved in the accident. The injured victims were promptly taken to the Osun State University Teaching Hospital Osogbo, while the deceased were transferred to the hospital’s morgue.
Benamaisai further mentioned the collaborative efforts of the Nigeria Police Force and FRSC officials in managing the situation. Additionally, two bags containing clothes were recovered from the accident scene.
