Tinubu pledges to resolve the Nigeria-UAE visa problem.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) visa ban on Nigerians may be lifted shortly, thanks to President Bola Tinubu’s involvement.
During a meeting with UAE Ambassador to Nigeria Salem Saeed Al-Shamsi at the State House on Thursday, the President directed that issues involving Emirates Airline’s relations and the issuing of visas to Nigerians be handled as soon as possible. He emphasized his willingness to intervene personally to guarantee a resolution.
This is the first time Tinubu has addressed the impasse that has resulted in Emirates, the UAE’s national carrier, suspending flights to Nigeria.
“With the UAE, we are a family; we only live in separate rooms, but we are together.”
We both live in the same house. We should approach the situation as if it were a family matter, and try to handle it amicably. Every family has its quirks, as you are aware.
“You can have a misbehaving child, but we must all work together.” “We must reach an agreement on fundamental aviation and immigration issues,” the president added.
The UAE Ambassador professed a strong attachment to Nigeria, referring to himself as a “Nigerian” because of the country’s historical significance, lasting leadership role in Africa, and well-known hospitality to outsiders.
“I’ve been working on 24 agreements since I arrived in the country.” We’re making progress. These are minor concerns within a family that will be resolved. I am grateful to be alive. “I’m grateful to be here in Nigeria,” he remarked. For more read, get more news from thedailycourierng
