Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reassured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu will employ cutting-edge technology to counter the threat of banditry that has established itself in some of the nation’s forested areas.
This information was revealed by Ganduje at a meeting with the North Central APC Elders and Stakeholders Forum, which was presided over by General Lawrence Onoja (rtd), a former military governor of the states of Katsina and the Plateau.
“With regard to insecurity, the president has agreed to use technology to manage security in Nigeria, particularly in our forests, which have turned into cities for bandits,” the chairman of the APC stated.
Mr. President is aware of this and is prepared to strengthen the institutions, including the Army, Air Force, Navy, DSS, Civil Defense, and indeed, the NIA. He is changing the institutions to ensure that we defeat national insecurity.
Regarding Nigeria’s diversity, the chairman remarked that Tinubu would manage it well, adding that the APC-led administration will distribute appointments among all regions of the Federation.
