The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has expressed his belief that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, his former boss and the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), will continue to face defeat in presidential elections due to his relentless pursuit of personal ambitions.

Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje made these remarks during an event in Abuja where he received Senator Haliru Jika, the NNPP governorship candidate for Bauchi State in the 2023 general election, who officially returned to the APC.

As a symbolic gesture marking this political shift, Ganduje replaced the iconic red cap associated with the Kwankwasiyya group with President Bola Tinubu’s signature cap bearing the unbroken chain insignia.

Kwankwaso frequently changed political parties to serve his personal ambitions,

Ganduje accused Kwankwaso of frequently changing political parties to serve his personal ambitions, emphasizing that Kwankwaso would choose to be “a king in hell than be a servant in paradise” because he prioritized his personal interests over national concerns.

The APC National Chairman noted that Senator Jika’s return to the party was a significant move, stating, “He is coming from a party that used to be a decent party and highly respected but was later hijacked and polluted by the Kwankwasiyya group.”

Ganduje expressed satisfaction that the original NNPP was reclaiming its rightful position while leaving the Kwankwasiyya group deserted.

He further remarked, “The Kwankwasiyya group, led by the former Kano State governor, was forced to go into a sabbatical leave for eight years before it found its way back to the Government House in Kano.”

Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje reaffirmed the party’s commitment to repositioning itself for the 2027 polls.

Ganduje assured the returnees of inclusivity in APC’s operations in Bauchi State and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to repositioning itself for the 2027 polls.

Senator Jika, addressing the media after his meeting with Ganduje, stated that his decision to return to the APC was driven by the interests of his supporters in Bauchi State and had nothing to do with Kwankwaso.

He also mentioned that Vice President Kashim Shettima and Senator Remi Tinubu influenced his decision to rejoin the APC. Senator Jika pledged his loyalty to the APC and his commitment to securing victories for the party in the upcoming 2027 elections at both the state and federal levels.” Source and visit thedailycourierng for more news
