According to telecom operator industry figures, 6,113,849 mobile users were lost between January and June 2023.
According to NCC data, the telecom operator had 225,880,193 subscribers in January 2023. There was a modest increase of 226,835,732 in the month of February. However, in March, the number of subscribers fell to 225,821,293, a reduction of 1,015,439 customers throughout the month.
Subscriptions for mobile services in the country fell from 225,880,193 in January 2023 to 219,766,344 in June.
Despite MTN’s massive loss, other telecoms such as Glo, Airtel, and 9mobile saw a small rise in their respective subscription bases in the months under review. For more business news and other news
